So I went with three of my house mates up to Citrusdal and Clanwilliam this weekend:
We spent the first night at our landlord's farm a few hours drive from Cape Town, off a dirt road that took us about 30 minutes to drive down. The next morning we got up early and took a tour of his farm. 
Lots of lemon trees:
Also ostrich, cattle, springbok, and other game animals 
The next day we drove about an hour and went walking around to see some ancient cave paintings, then stayed the night at a guesthouse in Gekko 
On Sunday we drove up to see some wine farms 
And then headed back to Cape Town to get ready for work on Monday...
